Who you are:
The Removable Prep Technician will prepare all types of patient cases so that orthodontic appliances can be crafted according to doctor's prescriptions. This role is 100% hands on and requires a dedication to excellence and craftsmanship. As you gain tenure you are required to learn about basic oral structure, tooth anatomy, tooth numbering systems and basic orthodontic appliances, with many minor variations, and their functions.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
Our client NEOlab, or New England Orthodontic Laboratory, is a family-owned and family-run orthodontics manufacturer serving the Boston area. They are located in Andover, MA and are home to more than 120 employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read prescriptions and identify how to prep model for appliance to be crafted
- Prep 3D printed models
- Work with hand tools, drills, saws and X-ACTO knives to prep stone and 3D printed models for fabrication of orthodontic appliances
- Carve out models
- Follow detailed directions
- Problem solve as needed
- Learn when to ask for assistance and when to independently make decisions
- Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Work in a stationary position for several hours at a time
- Use hands and fingers to manipulate materials for several hours at a time
- Exhibit great hand-eye coordination
