Job Description:
We are actively seeking a licensed and experienced massage therapist to serve as a trainer, on a part-time basis. We are especially looking for qualified massage therapist candidates who enjoy a learning environment and have a passion for sharing their industry knowledge with newly training massage therapists. Our team aims to create a positive environment for all team members and is looking to build a larger community of massage therapists to treat the high demand for massages in the area.
The massage therapist instructor will oversee and supervise the training of active massage therapy students who are working through the hands-on portion of their education program to become licensed. This position will include a combination of teaching theory curriculum as well as running an active student hands-on training. Every classroom session is guided by an hour-by-hour lesson plan which is part of our comprehensive curriculum that consists of easy-to-follow outlines, videos, and instructions. Instructor training is provided.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Supervise and instruct active student massage education
- Instruct massage therapy students using specific outlined curriculum by the massage school
- Contribute positive attitude and teamwork in a proven system to ensure an enjoyable, and relaxing environment for all students, clients, and co-workers
- Flexible scheduling
Qualifications and Skills:
- A current and valid Massage Therapy License is required
- 2-3 years experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist with current and valid Professional Liability Insurance
- Technologically proficient
- A True Passion for Helping Others
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
