What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager position at MPW Industrial Services, Inc?
JOB FUNCTION: This position is responsible for ensuring the established and un-established quality standards of MPW and the customer’s expectations are met or exceeded.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- 1. Reviews all payroll reports, promotions, demotions, annual reviews, disciplinary actions, transfers, terminations, employee relations, employee safety, and employee communications.
- 2. Responsible for expanding the business at the account, identifying and developing other business “opportunities” outside of the account.
- 3. Manages the account within the guidelines established by the customer contact as well as the policies and procedures established by corporate MPW.
- 4. Responds to customer related complaints and inquiries, soliciting senior management and/or corporate staff support where appropriate.
- 5. Reviews the disciplinary practices of managers and supervisors to ensure consistency and fairness.
- 6. Oversees the location’s inventory needs.
- 7. Responsible for obtaining a PO for any and all work performed which is outside the scope of the contract.
- 8. Provides information as related to contract negotiations, as well as being an active participant.
- 9. Responsible for daily meetings with the customer to review the status of the work schedule.
- 10. Responsible for developing the supervisory staff to meet the management needs of the account and to provide adequate supervisory backup.
- 11. Manages the MPW expenditures at the account operating level to meet profit goals.
- 12. Follows OSHA guidelines and MPW safety standards.
- 13. Ability to follow directions as provided by management.
- 14. Demonstrates a considerate, approachable, and constructive attitude toward fellow employees and the customer.
- 15. Performs other duties as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1. Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, preferred.
- 2. 2 years management experience, ideally scheduling employees to perform cleaning and quality assurance measures as related to a high-volume paint department or other labor intensive industrial cleaning environment.
- 3. 2 years P&L experience.
- 4. Strong business acumen.
- 5. Professional oral and written interpersonal communication.
- 6. Prior experience in automotive, industrial, and/or maintenance setting required.
