MRA is assisting a premier hospitality firm in the Greater Milwaukee Area on their search for an experienced, outgoing, and accomplished Director of Sales to lead all sales and business development efforts. As the Director of Sales you will…
- Maintain and promote a team environment with effective and clear communication with associates through positive leadership
- Develop a complete knowledge and ensure adherence to company sales policies and SOPs
- Provide pricing and recommendations to sales associates
- Identify, qualify and solicit new business
- Recognize and pursue new and repeat business through prospecting calls, site visits, open house and networking events
- Develop and maintain market awareness to ensure ability to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies
- Analyze sales and revenue management reports to identify trends and future opportunities
- Monitor pricing, sales minimums to ensure pricing is within an acceptable range based on available inventory, revenue and market conditions
- Participate in forecasting for revenue and expenses
- Conduct weekly and monthly performance reviews versus competition and implement strategies accordingly
- Prepare annual marketing/sales and budget plans
- Set and monitor team member goals including weekly sales activities, revenue goals monthly, quarterly, yearly
- Conduct annual performance reviews on all subordinate staff
- Establish and build on relationships with Operations, Culinary, Recruiting, and Executive Leadership
- Develop and maintain relationships within community to strengthen and extend customer base
Education And Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Business, or Marketing
- 7 years of sales and customer service related business
- 5 years in advanced leadership role and responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required
- Ability to target accounts, markets, and business segments relative to overall business plan
- Solid analytical skills relative to revenue generation
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to study and improve existing procedures and standards
- Understand analysis of reports, audits and project management
- Conduct weekly structured sales meetings
- Experience with information systems related to event planning management beneficial
- Knowledge of forecasting systems, yield management, goal setting, and P L
- Strong understanding of revenue management principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, Excel, Word and Outlook
- Capable of interacting with multiple teleconferencing platforms and social media
- Must have flexible work hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
