The CDS Program Manager of Unit Based Services is a full-time position in Mankato, MN with day time hours. Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Job Summary
The CDS Program Manager of Unit Based Services is responsible for assisting in the operation of the CDS department within all established standards. This position is responsible for leading, developing, and coaching the Program Coordinators, Program Specialists and CDS Specialists while working with the management team to develop goals and initiatives, best practices, policies and procedures along with finding new revenue streams. This position is to market MRCI CDS services to county personnel, participants/representatives in private and public forums, assists to maintain a strong customer-focused culture and to remain current with state and federal rules and regulations for Unit Based Services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in the operation of the PCA, CFSS and 245D programs in compliance with agency policy and objectives, within licensing and certification guidelines, professional and ethical standards, state and federal
- Assists in developing the skills and program knowledge of the Program Coordinators, Program Specialist and CDS Specialist.
- Remains current with legislative changes and county trends. Works with individual counties, DHS, other providers and individuals within CDS to develop Licensed/Unlicensed Provider best
- Reviews,revisesanddevelopsclientservicepoliciesandproceduresasneeded,toconform tocurrentfederalandstateOngoing,ensuresthatthesepoliciesand procedures continue to meet established licensed and unlicensed standards.
- Remains aware of new programs, techniques, legislation and other pertinent information that may have an effect on present programs or implications for new programs in the
- Implementation of new programs and revenue streams upon state approval.
- Maintainsasolidunderstandingofallrulesandregulationsthatgovernthefundingsourcesassociated with the current CDS programs and plan
- Monitors efforts within the department to reduce unnecessary losses.
- Supervises CDS staff as
- Communicates information about CDS services to departmental staff and to the general public through informal and formal
- Functions as departmental liaison with IT and provides technical support to other CDS
- Partner with the Director of CDS to prepare and submit an Annual Budget of operating expenses and equipment needs and when approved, purchases supplies and equipment within the budgetary limitations established by agency
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited university with at least five years of related experience and a minimum of two years of service to individuals with disabilities or disadvantages.
- Up to three years elevated supervisory experience.
- Experience implementing new program models, along with self-directed services,
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong and accurate keyboarding skills to prepare a variety of forms, letters, reports and memos.
- Strong supervisory skills, budgetary experience, and excellent problem-solving and decision- making
- Be proficient in computer-based office software, including Word, Excel and
- Possess strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication
- Solid oral communication skills to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to the general public and other employees of the
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and secure sensitive

- Must have a valid driver's license with reliable
- Must clear a MN Department of Human Services background check and physical exam to demonstrate the ability to perform the physical demands of the
