What are the responsibilities and job description for the UX Research Librarian position at MRM - MRM WW?
The UX Research Librarian will be responsible for organizing, cataloging, and managing usability testing findings, VoC case studies, and other research studies for a major global technology hardware, software, and services company. As a member of the internal digital experiences research team, the librarian will work alongside others in research, UX, customer experience strategy, product, and marketing technology. The librarian plays a crucial role in optimizing and curating research data to inform and enhance customer user experiences across websites, web applications, and software product offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize, catalog, and retrieve research studies, ensuring easy access and discoverability of previous research insights for internal marketing, product, and other business stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a CX/UX research library and repository on SharePoint, implementing best practices in information management and keeping it up to date with the latest research studies, findings, and insights.
- Source and analyze external or 3rd party research (including research from our internal teams plus sources like Forrester, Gartner, etc.).
- Help organize and moderate research kickoffs and discovery by analyzing information requests to determine which materials will best inform research project needs.
- Create and maintain standardized metadata schemas, taxonomies, and controlled vocabularies to facilitate effective search and retrieval of research data to help connect topics of interest.
- Participate in post-research diffusion workshops with stakeholders across digital marketing and product marketing teams to help facilitate insight-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with various research and business stakeholders to design and maintain a research roadmap.
- Develop and deliver training and support to internal stakeholders on working with the internal research team as well as utilizing the CX/UX research library, promoting its value and benefits across the organization.
- Monitor trends in research information management, and CX/UX to inform the continuous improvement of the research library and related processes.
- Conduct regular audits of the research library to ensure data accuracy, relevance, and adherence to privacy and data protection policies.
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to IP, copyright, and data privacy regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science, Human-Computer Interaction, CX/UX, or a related research field.
- Experience in organizing and cataloging digital resources, preferably in a research context.
- Strong understanding of user research methodologies and UX principles.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Highly personable and service-focused.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and cross-functional environment.
- Knowledge of data privacy and intellectual property regulations.
