Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and organized Freight Salesman to join our team. The Freight Salesman will be responsible for securing new customers and working with existing customers to secure freight and maintaining strong relationships with customers and vendors. The ideal candidate will have experience in 3PL logistics, dispatching, and sales.
Responsibilities
- Develop new sales leads as well as support current customers
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Generate leads for new business opportunities and assist in contract negotiations
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction
- Monitor pricing trends and adjust rates as necessary to remain competitive
- Facilitate electronic data interchange (EDI) processes with customers
Skills:
- Ability to generate leads and contribute to sales efforts
- Excellent customer relationship management skills
- Experience in contract negotiations and pricing strategies
