What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handling Operator Maintainer position at MS Tech LLC?
- Under direct supervision, operates, maintains, and troubleshoots stationary and mobile bulk material handling equipment used to receive, store, prepare and reclaim fuel in order to ensure a consistent fuel supply and prevent disruption of power generation
- Job requires sufficient working knowledge of the methods, policies, procedures, standards, and regulations associated with material handling systems and equipment to perform a range of non-routine skilled craft activities.
- Guidelines are available but are not always applicable to the work or have gaps in specificity, requiring judgment in adapting or developing new methods, techniques, and procedures to use in specific cases.
- Solves complex problems within established parameters and identifies and recommends responses to new and unusual circumstances.
- Completed work is reviewed upon completion for technical accuracy and compliance with instructions or established procedures.
- Occasional contact with individuals in other work groups, vendors, contractors, shipping agents and marine vessel crews is required to obtain, clarify and provide information.
- May be required to work various extended-hour shift schedules on a rotational basis, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
