BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
The AP Accounting Clerk requires the team member to be timely and consistent in the payment of all Vendor invoices. This job requires contact with Suppliers regarding missing payments, missing invoices, and discrepancies in billing.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enters of all Payables into the ERP system
- 3-way match for inventory invoices
- Troubleshoots Open Receivers
- Weekly Check Run
- Manual billing [AZ1] as required
- Handles phone calls from Suppliers/Vendors
- Performs General Accounting tasks
- Provides Back-up on the phones
- Fills in assorted Administrative Duties
- Attends Periodic Training where applicable
- Participates in Cross Functional Special Projects
- Assists with the preparation and distribution of 1099’s at year end
- Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.
- Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- Two Year degree in accounting and 3-5 years of comparable work experience.
SKILLS:
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent problem identification and problem-solving skills
- Good time management skills required.
- Good math skills
- Fluent in all Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on Excel, Word and Outlook
Compensation starting at $29,750 - $42,500 / year and up dependent on candidate location and experience.
