MSG Staffing is looking for a RN Manager for a Direct Hire Position at a Health Center in Dorchester. The hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, no holidays or weekends. Great pay & benefits.
SUMMARY:
The Nurse Manager is a key member of the leadership team at the health center. They work closely with the Director of Nursing to plan and implement activities related to nursing along with managing the Nurse Coordinators in each department. This position reports directly to the Director of Nursing.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with Nurse Coordinators to determine the optimal allocation of staff, per shift on each unit.
Assists in survey compliance, quality assurance and staff development duties, as assigned.
Maintains proficiency with the computer scheduling system. Assists with scheduling as needed.
Provides clinical expertise in medical management, crisis and behavior management techniques.
Meets routinely with the clinical groups.
Assists with the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
Serves and/or leads committees, as assigned, including, but not limited to, quality assurance/quality improvement, employee health, infection control, and safety.
Mentors Nursing Coordinators in the supervision of nursing and medical assistants.
Works with Director of Nursing to ensure required maintenance of nursing and medical assistant competencies are up to date and stays abreast on all new regulations and competencies.
Works with the Director of Nursing to ensure all regulatory, licensure and accreditation standards related to nursing are met and assists in communication of changes to nursing and medical assistant staff.
Provides clinical nursing services as assigned.
Works in a confidential capacity.
Performs other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required. Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in healthcare required.
Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.
Minimum of one year Ambulatory Care experience.
Minimum of one year Emergency/Urgent Care experience.
Bilingual Candidates are highly encouraged to apply
Certification/Licensure: Valid RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Current BLS certification.
Software/Hardware: Must be proficient and have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.). Experience with OCHIN Epic preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $136,000.00 per year
