Job Summary
Attorney I
The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) seeks an Attorney. This position serves as a junior member of a collaborative team of dedicated attorneys responsible for identifying and presenting reasoned and strategic solutions and proposals for changes to existing MSRB rules and interpretations, including the elimination or reduction of unnecessary regulation and the adoption of new rules that regulate the municipal securities market, developing compliance and educational resources to assist regulated entities in understanding the MSRB’s rules, and other legal projects, all with the goal of protecting investors and facilitating a fair and efficient municipal securities market.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct legal research
- Develop effective oral communication skills
- Draft clear and effective memoranda
- Function effectively in a team environment and work with others to meet deadlines
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Qualifications
JD with entry level to 2 years of experience. Experience with legal research and writing and strong interpersonal skills.
