Job Summary
To oversee and responsible for planning, organizing, development, budget and direction for overall Vehicle maintenance. Working as a team player and organizing daily staff operations. Ability to be a leader and oversee a staff, including training while maintaining a safe work environment.
The Fleet Mechanics main function is to keep all Vehicles in working condition and Oversee all Vehicle Mechanic Staff. That includes maintaining proper documentation of work that has been done or needs to be done, making sure Vehicle Maintenance staff is on task on a day to day basis and helping all other Mechanics as needed.
Essential Job Functions
- Oversee all Vehicle maintenance staff and vehicles from a maintenance point of view: Train, provide open communications, recommend performance reviews, resolve problems.
- Monitor all current budget activity and draft budget plans for future years.
- Maintain accurate time clock and work summary
- Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors and vendors.
- Willing to work day, night and grave yard shifts.
- Properly staff and schedule as needed and as peak times require.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment.
- Monitor employees to ensure they are doing their jobs efficiently and correctly.
- Hold open communication and relationships with managers in various departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Work closely with equipment operators and drivers of vehicles.
- Organize and execute fall/ off season maintenance.
- Delegate snow cat maintenance personnel on a day to day basis.
- Delegate construction vehicle maintenance personnel on a day to day basis.
- Greet guests and provide superior guest service as needed when asked questions or out in the field.
- Inspect, test and maintain all Skibowl vehicles.
- Check daily inspections and logs for accuracy and work needed.
- Educate the Vehicle operators on the proper use of vehicles as needed.
- Able to operate all vehicles.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Provide Basic Mechanic Tools( wrenches, screw drivers)
- Allow Insurance Company to Pull 'MVR'
- Must be able to work outdoors in a variety of extreme weather conditions.
- Must be able to deal with high volumes of people in a friendly, courteous manner.
- Able to read and write English.
- Able to work well with others in a TEAM environment.
- Able to lift 50 pounds over your head.
- Must be willing to adhere to the appearance code of the department.
- Must be reliable.
- Must be able to work Holidays and weekends which may include evenings and nights.
- Must be able to handle multi task environment.
- Addressing complaints with managers and operations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to manage a staff effectively.
- Adhere to company safety standards.
