Job Description
- Troubleshoot and support end-user desktop issues
- Triage, acknowledge, and resolve incidents and requests promptly to users working both in the office and remotely.
- Fully document all troubleshooting steps and create knowledge base articles of resolutions.
- Prioritise issues and work with Support Lead, Application Managers, IT Operations, Vendors, and other teams to resolve issues, minimizing escalations.
- Escalate high-priority issues to Team Lead and Senior Management.
- Provide first-line support in Windows 10/11, PCs, Printers, Office 365, Active Directory, Networking issues and Ticketing.
- Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of new starters, including preparing equipment for new starters as well as some account creation or removal in supported applications.
- Provide VIP support for Deskside issues per contract and be the point of contact at the site for all IT-related issues.
- Perform health checks and monitor automated system alerts/application alerts, resolving the issues where possible.
- Learn new technologies and acquire new skills to meet changing demands.
- IT infrastructure Hands & Eyes Support
- Any other ad-hoc tasks.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in an appropriate IT discipline is preferred.
- 2 years in a hands-on Information Technology Support role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Exceptional teamwork and help other technical support workers.
- Experience working with IT ticketing systems such as Manage Engine, Remedy, JIRA Service Desk, or Service Now.
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, Windows 10, Microsoft Office applications, etc.
- Experience in one or more of the following is advantageous, but not a requirement for this role, as training will be provided:
- Certifications MCSE, Microsoft 365/Azure role-based certifications, AWS, and CCNA.
- Experience in the AWS Cloud platform on multiple services.
- Experience supporting business applications and productivity tools.
