OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Strategy:
- Assist in the development of the Mule Extracts THC & CBD marketing strategy and tactical marketing plans to promote core products, programs, and initiatives in order to deliver against business objectives, achieve our financial targets, drive engagement, acquisition, growth and retention.
- Ensure a consistent, creative and forward-thinking direction across all marketing campaigns and content, from employee-facing communication to print collateral, presentations, events, social media, website design, and integrated marketing opportunities.
Consumer/Market Insights:
- Gather & analyze consumer insights, market analysis, and marketing best practices and translate into potential positioning, messaging, and marketing executions to achieve defined KPIs.
- Establish a deep understanding of Mule Extracts consumer segmentation in order to provide insights for planning, product development, commercial, and marketing strategies.
- Stay abreast of current market conditions and trends and incorporate new innovations into company marketing plans.
- Track campaign results and review marketing analytics across all mediums, analyze data, develop campaign reports, and create action plans for campaign improvements and optimizations.
Campaign Execution:
- Drive demand by planning and executing the marketing campaigns from concept phase to finished product.
- Strategize and coordinate annual marketing/promo calendar (including media buy, product launch, online and all related campaigns)
- Coordinate with internal & external partnerships to create and distribute marketing content that supports the Mule Extracts brand mission and values across print & digital advertising, marketing collateral, sales & retailer materials, website and email.
- Ensure a consistent, creative and forward-thinking direction for all marketing assets, from employee-facing communication to print collateral, presentations, events, social media, website design, and integrated marketing opportunities.
- Develop and manage web/online strategy, including site launches, maintenance, ongoing online campaigns, etc.
- Manage the development, review, and dissemination of omnichannel campaign collateral including paid digital marketing, email, advertising, and direct mail.
- Lead the planning, production, and execution of marketing campaigns/programs across all consumer touch points.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration and coordinate external contractors/vendors to support the overall marketing strategy and ensure that project timelines, budget, and deadlines are met.
- Oversee PR, Events and Communications for both internal and consumer facing communications, including but not limited to: press releases, product tests, product reviews, editor relations, product pitches.
- Direct and manage multi-channel content and social media strategy; sourcing and managing agencies where relevant.
- Manage the creation and delivery of all corporate assets, sales tools, print collateral, including brief development and delivery.
- Assist in the design, development, and ordering of POP, retail marketing assets, vendor day kits, event materials, and promotional items designated for brand sponsored events, consumers, and retail partners.
- Ensure consistency with the brand voice and tone across all marketing campaigns and content.
- Track campaign results and review marketing analytics across all mediums, analyze data, develop campaign reports, and create action plans for campaign improvements and optimizations.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience: 5 years of marketing management, preferably with a CPG or Cannabis company.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Communications, Marketing, Business, etc.)
Skills:
- Experience at multiple sizes and maturities of companies, specifically at start ups and mid-stage companies.
- Experience developing data-driven marketing plans
- Proven experience developing and executing business strategy and related supporting initiatives.
- Financially astute; expert understanding of key financial and marketing metrics that drive profitability and company success; leveraging metrics to course correct and optimize.
- Successful experience in using data analytics to monitor and evaluate marketing programs against stated expectations, and to realign and change them to meet performance expectations.
- Expert knowledge of current marketing trends, preferably in the direct-to consumer space
- Excellent communicator: builds trusted relationships, and clearly articulates key value propositions, processes and performance. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and public speaking experience.
- Ability to establish and maintain efficient processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Software literacy: CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint; Google Suite, including Google Sheets; ability and interest to learn new software.
- Astute eye for the aesthetic and a keen instinct for user experience in eCommerce.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
