As a successful contracting business, we are starting a New Division to install dry utilities and one of the first steps is getting an experienced dry utilities superintendent on board. The ideal candidate will possess extremely high technical knowledge for dry utility construction, strong customer service and project management experience, and up to date with new construction industry developments.

Responsibilities:
- Manage execution and compliance for: safety, 3-5 project production goals(schedule and budget), customer relations, equipment maintenance, foremen performance management; up to and including defined production plan/goals, coaching and accountability, attendance issues, on-the-job training, disciplinary actions and annual reviews.
- Partner with PM to develop project production goals and communicate expected goals to each crew.
- Partner with Foremen and PM to plan work activities more than 24 hours in advance.
- Timely communication requesting additional resources/material/equipment needs to PM/Director
- Partner with PM and Director daily to ensure project success or delays are transparent.
- Able to identify problems, or potential problems, and take action to prevent or immediately rectify.
- Present a recovery plan should a project fall behind schedule/off budget.
- Superior customer service - weekly check-in/communication with on-site customer rep, maintaining crew professionalism on job-sites, ensuring job sites are safe, clean, organized, and secure.
- Safety compliance audit one per crew per week. Daily communication and expectations clearly set with each foreman, daily tailgate talk attended, OSHA and Company Policy compliance.
- Professionalism, Time Management and Accountability for self and all field crew members, including subcontractors on job-site (i.e. traffic control crews, saw cutting crew, sub excavator, etc)
- Verify maintenance of company equipment on-site (grease, clean, track, secure, call off-rent, and communicate any damage/loss ASAP)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external partners.
- Administrative responsibilities daily/weekly/monthly. Verify foreman daily production, photos, notes, employee and equipment time entries.
- Demonstrate and foster positive, solution oriented, forward-thinking attitudes.
- Provide and seek ideas and feedback, focus on process improvements, and implement in the field, cannot be a ME/I mentality, must be a WE/TEAM mentality to ensure the Dry Utility Division is successful and continues to grow with a strong, positive culture.
Required Qualifications:
- At minimum 2-5 years of experience with dry utility projects
- Operator skills: backhoe and excavator
- Must possess at minimum 1 Year experience overseeing 3 or more dry utility crews
- Ability to read and understand plans
- General understanding of construction
- Must have strong leadership skills and working experience managing a crew
- Valid Driver’s License
- College education is preferred
