Position Overview
Develop, coordinate and facilitate the implementation or process improvement efforts. The quality engineer with take the lead role in analyzing potential product and/or process improvements. Ensure the quality of the parts produced at Munters meet all customer expectations; quickly and effectively take action when non-conformances are found. Maintain the most recent interpretations of the quality system requirements and therefore ensure that documented practices meet the true interpretation of the quality management system standards.

Position Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of documented information and training to eliminate potential for product quality issues and meeting customer expectations.
- Training personnel through visual aids in place, Quality Alerts documentation, and Procedures.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to the quality system that result in improved corporate quality performance, increased customer satisfaction, and/or simplification of process to reduce cost.
- Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.
- Implementation of 5 Whys with quality inspection. Repeatability, and reproducibility tests to analyze possible deviations on testing, process, and devices. Decision making based on analysis results and process variables validation. Communication improvement between Ops and Quality.
- Familiar with the ISO 9001:2015 standard and experience in ISO 9001 and ISO 14000
- Responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting trends and KPI’s related to quality.
- Through Quality Report (Quality Yield, Defects, scrap information, etc.)
- Prepares / presents technical information and report analysis root cause studies
- Active support of all lean activities
- Participation in Gemba walks, CIP Projects, Green Belt Project.
- Resolve quality issues of capability, tolerance, and materials related issues. Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, and implementing action plans.
- Determine when process stability and capability studies should be performed on existing processes. Review and analyze results. Recommend changes to processes based upon findings and perform follow up to verify effectiveness.
- Through monitoring of the process variables, quality analysis results, and reviewing of maintenance plan.
- Participate in the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Maintain Control Plans and FMEA's throughout the life of the part. Experience in FMEA analysis during accidents investigations
- Creates and maintains Workmanship Standards
- Study of the process, work with the inspectors and operators to identify the issues that impact the correct process flow increasing the reworks and remade process.
- Assist with the investigation and disposition of nonconforming material (MRB).
- Management of non-conforming material through Data Base data collection and material disposition
- Implementation of ETQ system (In process)
- Identify potentials for product quality improvements and drive the improvement efforts. Communicate process/product quality standards to plant personnel through personal discussion, written instruction, training activities, etc.
- Compiling and creating Quality KPI’s.
- Monthly activity, discussing the data reported in the Quality report.
- Develop quality measuring and reporting system and implement quality improvement programs.
- Quality measurement: Implementation of Future SQC
- Experience working with data and statistical analysis software.
- Minitab, Excel, and Future SQC
- Take responsibility for assigned Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) performing investigations, creating Corrective Action Plans and Verification Plans, Implementing Corrective Action Plans, and Verifying Effectiveness of the Actions.
- Monitoring of corrective actions established in 8D reports
- Initiate, process and assist in the investigation and closing of customer complaints - C2 Cases
- Perform additional assessment and analysis as assigned.
- Special Lab tests analysis, work with inspectors and develop inspection plans and receiving inspection plans,
- Determine and apply appropriate Measurement System Analysis tools.
- BS Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Quality Engineer
- Working knowledge of process controls, 8D, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ISO requirements/methodology
- Enthusiastic team player
- Demonstrated experience in producing effective and timely quality assurance deliverables.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
- Solid understanding of quality engineering principles and quality assurance systems.
- ASQ certification(s) a plus.
