Position Summary: The GI Technical Specialist is responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for gastroenterology (GI) equipment and technology. This role requires a strong understanding of GI procedures, equipment, and the ability to assist healthcare professionals in optimizing the use of GI technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for GI equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to GI technology.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on GI equipment.
- Ensure all GI equipment is functioning correctly and safely.
Training and Education:
- Train healthcare professionals on the proper use and maintenance of GI equipment.
- Develop and deliver training programs and materials.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in GI technology and share knowledge with the team.
Installation and Setup:
- Install and set up new GI equipment in healthcare facilities.
- Conduct initial testing and calibration to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to integrate new technology seamlessly into their workflows.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and support activities.
- Generate detailed reports on technical issues, resolutions, and equipment performance.

Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare professionals and patients.
- Respond promptly to service requests and inquiries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Product Development Support:

Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Certification in GI technology or related areas is a plus.

Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in technical support or a similar role, preferably in the healthcare or medical device industry.
- Experience with GI equipment and technology is highly desirable.
