What are the responsibilities and job description for the Store planner position at Music and Arts?

The JDA E3 Store Replenishment Planner manages the store replenishment process using the JDA E3 (Enterprise Planning) software system.

This role involves analyzing data, generating replenishment plans, and ensuring optimal inventory levels at retail stores to meet customer demand efficiently.

The Planner collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to implement replenishment strategies, optimize system configurations, and drive continuous improvement in replenishment processes.

The JDA E3 Store Replenishment Planner plays a crucial role in optimizing inventory management processes and ensuring stores have the right products available to meet customer demand, ultimately contributing to the success of the retail business.

Key Responsibilities :

System Configuration : Configure and maintain the JDA E3 system settings, parameters, and algorithms to support effective replenishment planning for retail stores.

Maintain store-level lead times based on seasonal shifts and in-store delivery methods.

  • Demand Forecasting : Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and seasonality patterns to forecast future demand for each store location and product category.
  • Replenishment Planning : Generate replenishment orders, allocation plans, and inventory forecasts to ensure stores are adequately stocked with the right products at the right time.
  • System Optimization : Continuously monitor and optimize the JDA E3 system performance, parameters, and configurations to improve replenishment accuracy and efficiency.

Communicate processing issues and action appropriately to ensure minimal impact on business.

  • Improve Customer Experience : Monitor out-of-stock occasions to employ changes in replenishment parameters to eliminate lost sales.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including other Merchandising teams, Supply Chain, and Store Operations, to align replenishment strategies with business goals and priorities.

Work closely with Merchandising teams to understand product assortments, promotions, and new product launches to incorporate into replenishment plans.

  • Innovate : Identify opportunities to innovate the way we plan for and execute replenishment to include allocation, seasonal profiling, case or inner pack expansion, and AGMROI enhancement.
  • Store Clustering : Assess and support unique managed assortments across identified store clusters.
  • Event-based replenishment : Build and implement programs to support critical seasons and events such as our Rental Season, Free Guitar weekends, and Upgrade your Sound™ events.
  • Inventory Planning : Determine optimal inventory levels for each store based on demand forecasts, sales velocity, lead times, and store-specific factors.
  • Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline replenishment processes, enhance system capabilities, and drive efficiency gains in replenishment planning and execution.
  • Performance Monitoring : Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to replenishment accuracy, inventory turns, service levels, and stockouts to assess system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Issue Resolution : Investigate and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to replenishment orders, inventory discrepancies, or system errors in a timely manner.
  • Documentation : Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and best practices related to JDA E3 replenishment planning.
  • Reporting : Prepare and present regular reports on replenishment performance, inventory levels, and key metrics to management and cross-functional teams.
