MW Polar Foods was founded in 1976, we are one of the largest importer and distributor of premium quality grocery packaged goods & general merchandise products. Our Headquarter is located in Cerritos/Norwalk, CA, and we have 6 Distribution Centers strategically located throughout the continental U.S. servicing various retail channels across the U.S. and South/Central America.

MW Polar Foods is currently recruiting a Receptionist/Office Assistant. We are ranked #3 after Dole and Del Monte in canned fruit business. You will learn from all aspects of the business working with other team members. A detail-oriented, self-motivated and a good team player is preferred.

Position Summary

Receptionist/Office Assistant will perform clerical and administrative supports to various departments in the Company.

Job Duties

· Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls

· Receive visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately

· Receive, sort and distribute daily mail / deliveries

· Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g., pens, forms and brochures)

· Plan and schedule appointments and company events

· Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email

· Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, binding and faxing

· Track shipments and assist with packaging, shipping (FEDEX and UPS)

· Maintains various company log books (technician attendance, service orders, mail logs, etc.)

· Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques

· Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies

· Assist on invoicing and e-commerce processing

· Assist consumer relationship department on responding and addressing consumer concern and inquiries

· Participates on special company projects

· Performs other duties, tasks or projects as requested and assigned by supervisor or management

Requirement

· Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment

· Ability to relate and communicate across all levels in the organization

· Ability to prioritize job functions to meet deadlines and ensure smooth workflow, and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Solid PC operational knowledge related to MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook are required

· Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role

· Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines, copy and printers)

· Positive customer service attitude

· High school degree, college degree preferred

· Bilingual in English and Spanish

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
