Description
Myers Auto Group is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join their team! The position will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including recruiting, hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Spearhead all recruiting efforts for the dealerships.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
- Perform New Hire orientations, onboarding and update records of new staff.
- Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
- Performs Workers Compensation Administration including accident reporting.
- Supports in the maintenance of HRIS system to include onboarding, offboarding, benefit portal, and employee record updates as needed.
- Organize and maintain personnel records.
- Files EEO-1 report annually; maintain other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Serves as backup for payroll.
- Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.
- Coordinate employee performance management.
- Supports in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least 3 years of human resource experience preferred.
- Dealership experience a plus
