Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement the NAM Business Line sourcing strategy, collaborating with the five factory Procurement Leaders, OEM organization and the Global Category team. You will help with optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. Each day, you will ensure execution in accordance with company and Procurement team instructions and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements. The work model for the role is: hybrid (Li-Hybrid) This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in either Pinetops, NC, Mebane, NC or Selmer, TN. You will be mainly accountable for: -Ensuring relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly and ensuring alignment between local procurement activities and division strategy. -Implementing programs to drive improvement in cost, quality, and delivery, in accordance with group/business area procurement guidelines and global division/business area objectives. -Securing full utilization of the SAP Ariba platform according to the relevant procedure, both related to sharing supplier information and finding existing high-performing suppliers to ABB. -Managing planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending, and savings forecasts.

Qualifications For The Role
- -Bachelorâs Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management preferred or related field plus 12 years of experience, or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
- -Strong leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- -Experience with presentations to large groups with an ability to differentiate ABB
- -Experience with negotiations strategy, ability to interpret market trend and to forecast order volume
- -Large Contract Negotiation experience
