Now hiring a Part-Time Personal Trainer for the NASA LaRC Fitness Center in Hampton, VA!

The NASA Langley Research Center is looking for a Fitness Specialist / Personal Trainer for their Fitness Center!

This is a Part Time, Mission Essential position working with some of our nation's finest scientists and Engineers!

In this position you will be working closely with the Occupational Health Clinic by assisting with their training, rehabilitation, and physical performance reviews.

Schedule is Monday - Friday from 2 : 30 PM to 6 : 30 PM

Compensation : $18 and if you decline the benefits we can add $3.95 $21.95 / hour,

Plus 40 hours of PTO & 5 paid holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for training one on one and large groups
• Assist members on various work out machines
• Dietary and nutritional analysis / planning
• Equipment maintenance and repair
• Maintaining member fitness records
• Designing, executing and tracking exercise prescriptions for members
• Assist Occupational Health Clinic as needed

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) through ARC or AHA, web based classes do not meet this standard.
• Preferred Certification as a Group Exercise Instructor or Personal Trainer
• American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), American Council on Exercise (ACE), or National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
