Position Summary:
The B2B Channel Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing the relationship between Samsung and a group of assigned Channel Partners in a defined US region, selling our products and services across our Display solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely and proactively with assigned Channel Partners on Demand Generation and Sales Enablement activities to deliver sales attainment and revenue growth.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Drive the attainment of revenue objectives for assigned Channel Partners, more specifically, Digital Signage Integrators; through proactive demand generation and sales enablement activities
- Provide consistent contact with assigned Channel Partners to increase Samsung’s presence and generate business opportunities:
o Work closely with Channel Partners to identify, qualify, propose, and close business opportunities across our product categories
Cross-sell into other Samsung’s business solutions where applicable
o Encourage Channel Partners to proactively discuss pipeline opportunities for proper forecasting/reporting in CRM system
o Train Channel Partners on business solutions to enable them to sell Samsung effectively
o Keep Channel Partners up to date on Samsung promotions, roadmaps, product launches, etc.
o Invite Channel Partners to attend industry tradeshows/events relevant to their industry focus
o Support Channel Partners with their demand generation efforts such as marketing, National Sales Meetings, trade shows, etc.
o Travel on a limited basis to visit key Channel Partners throughout the year
- Document sales opportunities in CRM/PRM Portal in accordance with division guidelines
o Enter and move sales opportunities through proper stages from identification through win/close
o Enter and maintain Special Pricing Agreements (SPAs) with up to date products, pricing, and valid dates
- Collaborate with internal teams to support Channel Partners and bring opportunities to fruition: Sales Teams, Solutions Engineers, Product Managers, Marketing, Distribution, etc.
- Develop and execute partner marketing plans which facilitate pipeline and revenue objectives
- Support resolution of moderate to high complex Channel Partner/End User issues (e.g., distribution, pricing) by teaming up with internal resources
- Travel on a limited basis to attend/support company sponsored events, tradeshows, National Sales Meetings, workshops, etc.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned by management according to business needs
Background/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 2-5 years of experience or equivalent of 5 years of directly related experience required
- Account management experience - Channel sales experience preferred
- Software, hardware, IT industry experience preferred
- Experience working with Digital Signage Integrators is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Relationship management, strategic selling, negotiation skills
- Proven success in developing new market/vertical business opportunities
- Proven record of accomplishment and over-achievement of goals
- Must be a savvy, self-starter with an aggressive sales mentality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel
- Working knowledge of Saleforce.com a plus
Contract length: 9 months
