Job Description
Overall responsibilities will include (but not limited to): General lab and infrastructure support, preparing and analyzing nanomaterials according to SOP/written procedures, fulfillment, and inventory management support, operating and maintaining instruments, preparing certain standard products and certificates of analysis, and carefully following relevant standard operating procedures.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform basic laboratory tasks - buffer preparation, supply stocking, inventory and ordering, maintenance of equipment, update of associated logs
- Assure all procedures and processing areas are maintained in a clean and organized manner
- Prepare and perform testing of nanomaterials per relevant SOP; release acceptable product
- Perform testing as required for product validation and process validation on existing products; publish data accordingly
- Support the Operations department with the performance of process qualifications and validations for procedures and equipment
- Support the maintenance of product testing database and perform relevant statistical analyses associated with product specifications as needed
- Support order fulfillment and inventory management
- Confer with management regarding assignments and schedule and manages/prioritizes tasks to meet assigned due dates
- Adhere to company safety and quality standards at all times
Qualifications
Who You Are & What You Bring
Education / Experience:
- Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) plus 6 months of general lab experience and be proficient in using precision pipettes and excellent material handling skills
- Associates degree in science related discipline or 2 years of related hands-on lab experience is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven ability to pay significant attention to detail and carefully document all procedures, observations, and methodology to keep organized data and records
- Able to multi-task, handle frequent changing job functions, and rapidly learn new techniques and approaches
- Fast learner, initiative-taker, personable, collaborative and relates well to people at all levels
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with UV-Vis, ICP-MS sample prep, DLS, Zeta-Potential, pH meters
- Experience with preparing dilutions, buffers, and solutions
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and frequently walk, sit, and stand daily
