Painter

Job Purpose :

This role is responsible for the overall manufacturing paint process, including application.

Responsibilities (tasks, duties):

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):

• Perform Paint/Primer Applications
  • Ensuring prep work is done prior to application, according to set standards.
  • Preparing materials, according to set standards.
  • Properly apply primer/paint mixtures to parts using hand tools.

o Inventory and maintain part and chemical supply.

o Properly monitor oven temps, as needed for proper application.

• • Complete production reports and communicate any defect to the supervisor;
  • Recommend the necessary modifications to ensure the achievement of objectives;
  • Provide support to co-workers.

· Monitor Paintline Performance and Processes

o Under direction of Program Manager, report paintline machine downtime to identify and correct mechanical problems

o Provide input and ensure completion of paintline projects and goals as set forth by Plant Manager

o Support daily production goals, as needed.

o Assist with manufacturing processes including equipment layout, workflow, process methods, and workflow utilization for paintline.

o Support plant safety initiative maintain safety protocols throughout production area.

o Contribute to ongoing improvements to throughput, inventory and operational expense

o Abide by all corporate and plant company policies and initiatives.

o Work with Quality Team to assist with ISO and IATF standards and audits.

· Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and

Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Employee Handbook.

Physical Requirements:

· Due to business necessity, physical requirements for this job must be met. All candidates MUST demonstrate:

o The ability to lift up to 40 lbs

o The ability to bend, stoop or reach with arms, climb or balance; kneel, crouch

o The ability to wear all required PPE

Qualifications/Skills:

Qualified candidate must:

o Have a minimum of 2 years print/primer application and/or manufacturing quality position

o Have strong technical knowledge and problem solving skills

o Have basic computer operating skills

o Have knowledge of overall production process.

o Have excellent work safety record

o Have working knowledge of maintenance principles and methods

o Have good communication and team skills

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

Optimal candidate will:

o Have manufacturing experience in a paint/primer application position

o Have quality Control experience

o Bi-lingual a plus

o Have facilities troubleshooting and maintenance experience
