The Team
Nasdaq Private Market (NPM) is a mission-driven company that supports the entire secondary ecosystem of private companies throughout the journey from private to public. NPM is a standalone, independent company, which received strategic investments from SVB, Citi, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley. NPM is dedicated to serving a large and growing market for private company secondary liquidity that is built from Nasdaqs franchise of technology and operating marketplaces. NPM is both a financial technology provider and operator of its own private marketplace that offers an institutional-grade, centralized secondary trading venue for issuers, brokers, shareholders and prospective investors of private company stock so clients can use one platform to transact with confidence through an experience regulated operator.
As an Account Executive within NPM, you will be working with some of the most high-profile private companies to serve as a trusted advisor for managing their secondary liquidity. This is a fast-paced role that is critical to the success of this team and can help you to embark on a long-term career within the private markets. You will become part of a collaborative team and will be motivated and incentivized to see the entire team succeed. The Account Executive will be responsible for:
- Driving business development for new private companies and closing of opportunities
- Fostering and expanding relationships with executives and influencers at prospective companies
- Meeting (and exceeding) quarterly and annual revenue/quota through the management and execution of the sales process
- Developing a comprehensive sales strategy and a sales plan that ensures consistent achievement of objectives over the short- and long-term for your coverage model
- Communicating accurate and realistic forecast information to the management team
You will need the following skills and experience
- Previous experience in selling Financial Services or Enterprise software solutions into accounts
- Proven ability to grow revenues to a substantial level and scale bookings growth and net-new customers
- Working knowledge of Capital Markets/Finance, or a strong interest to learn
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
- Exceptionally strong written and oral communication skills and ability to convey ideas
- Demonstrated track record of building relationships
- Microsoft Office/Salesforce
- Successfully working in a matrixed, team-based environment
And it would be great if you have experience with
- FINRA Licenses (Series 7)
- Background in private company transactions (e.g. venture financings, private placements, valuations, etc.)
- Experience marketing to C-suite Executives, Investment professionals
- Sales training programs
- Education Required: Bachelors degree in business, finance, or marketing/sales
- Experience Required: At least 5-7
