What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anodize Foreman position at Nassau Chromium?
- Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage projects from start to finish
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budget
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with safety regulations
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during work orders
- Perform daily cleaning, anodizing, chemical film and other finishing operations.
- Oversee and fill out job travelers. Perform and sign-off Foreman reviews and inspections. Follow instructions in the work order and examine product to ensure conformance to work instructions and procedures.
- Oversee technical aspects of anodizing and chemical film finishing operations, including but not limited to, specification requirements, troubleshooting, racking technics.
- Controls anodizing and chemical film finishing processes.
- Identify and monitor finishing process and work throughout anodizing process and keep accurate counts on parts. Monitor the quality of in-process and finished items. Visually inspect work prior to, during and after finishing in accordance with procedures.
- Perform qualified testing on parts and/or processing coupons in accordance with work instructions and specifications.
- Conduct and perform internal and external government processing audits.
- Responsible for final inspection and safely handling customer work.
- Identify work, maintain traceability and preserve Quality of customer’s work.
- Responsible for starting up and shutting down rectifiers.
- Responsible for maintaining cleaning and anodize baths.
- Maintain and clean anodizing and chemical film tanks and equipment –flushing hoods daily, strip racks, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring temperatures and levels in anodize baths are within limits and in control.
- Responsible for daily preventive maintenance and filling out daily log sheet.
- Responsible for performing weekly housekeeping in accordance with procedures and filling out weekly log sheet.
- Ensure chemical containers in anodize area are always labeled and keep anodizing isles and work areas clean.
- Ensure safe handling and proper storage of chemicals after use.
- Ensure all personnel in department have proper safety equipment and ensure all testing equipment is within calibration dates.
- Ensure all personnel are trained properly to handle and process heavy items using safety hoist apparatus.
- Ensure use of proper safety equipment and MSDS sheets through hazardous communication program.
- Know and train personnel on proper emergency procedures.
- Control nonconforming product.
- Assist in continual improvement efforts.
- Assist in corrective action and preventive actions.
- Conduct and record job training of department personnel.
- Assist in internal communication.
- Provide input into the management review meeting.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a supervisor or in a similar supervisory role in the finishing industry
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and drawings
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Pay: $34,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
