The AMBUCS mission of inspiring mobility and independence is accomplished through a nationwide network of 4,000 volunteers in 160 chapters working in partnership with physical and occupational therapists to provide Amtryke adaptive trykes, fund scholarships for therapists, build home accessibility ramps and universally accessible playgrounds, coordinate Challenger and Miracle Leagues, and much more. The efforts of our dedicated volunteer network are supported by a small, but equally committed staff.
National AMBUCS, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a wholly-owned adaptive tricycle corporation called Amtryke, LLC.

Position
AMBUCS is adding a new part-time role of Accountant to help support our busy office and growing organization. This position will love systems and processes, be highly organized and detail-oriented, bring excitement and comfort to being part of a charitable organization, and enjoy being a team player.
o Record daily transactions and assist with receipting major gifts.
o Conduct ongoing reconciliations.
o Post investment activity each month and ensure timely payment of monthly sales tax filings.
o Research outstanding account balances and work with the team to ensure timely payments.
o Assist the CEO with the annual audit and quarterly financial reports.
Qualifications
The preferred candidate sees no detail as too small. They are solution-oriented and takes pride in making things run smoothly and efficiently.
The successful candidate will have the following professional qualifications:
o Degree in accounting, finance, business or relate field.
o At least two years of experience working at a nonprofit organization or small business.
o Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office, Shopify and Sage 50 preferred.
o Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
o Adaptability in a fast-paced working environment and meet deadlines.
o Self-starter, results-oriented, with strong relationship and interpersonal skills.
o Experience communicating and working in partnership with diverse populations.
o Exercises critical thinking and understands how to be resourceful.
o Ability to manage multiple tasks and take initiative independently.
o Effective and clear verbal and written communication skills.
