What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Analyst position at National Coatings and Supplies Inc.?
Responsible for analyzing Supply Chain performance and identifying potential optimization opportunities across the entire organization. This includes but not limited to pricing and cost trends, inventory performance, network optimization, digitization of supply chain, inbound/outbound product flow, and adhoc analysis. Works with the Supply Chain team to monitor and help manage inventory performance, pricing and procurement systems data. Performs analyses and develops reporting to evaluate surplus inventory, inventory value, and turn performance at varying levels of detail. Develops and analyzes pricing, distribution, and logistics metrics and reporting to drive efficiency and profitability optimization.
Supply Chain Pricing Analyst Duties
- Evaluate Price exception requests to assess reasonableness. Where appropriate execute desired changes and evaluate results of the changes. Identify and quantify incremental revenue and Gross Profit from the change.
- Organize, plan, and conduct complete Primary Billing Schedule meetings based on a priority list provided by the Director of Pricing.
- Review the daily and weekly Store Sales & Gross Profit reports, researching all low and questionable percentages for any corrective action that may be needed.
- Review the daily line-item reports to identify and address as necessary pricing errors, discrepancies or other transactions that may have a material impact on the store's margins. Work with the store managers and others to identify and execute the appropriate corrective action.
- Implement Pricing Profiles and pricing strategy in acquisitions and changeovers. This means converting to our pricing structures, with, as close as possible, the same customer pricing as the store had in place before the changeover. This generally involves comparing invoices on key customers and product lines, before and after, to ensure that important pricing is matched. This also involves continued follow-up in new locations, to maintain, or increase, gross profit to our goals.
- Work closely with the Operations Managers to ensure understanding of objectives and provide guidance and recommendations in situations where the request is not justified or appropriate.
- Customer investment sales analysis review to ensure proper implementation and customer service.
- Contribute to the development of new pricing and gross profit tools. This includes assisting the store manager to ensure the company receives maximum benefit from the existing systems. Also, properly redirecting information from the field that might be used to improve the overall gross profit management tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
