Traveling Merchandiser

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Traveling Merchandiser. The Traveling Merchandiser position has been established to assist the Company as needed to ensure consistency of staffing and execution in a geographically diverse range of stores. A Traveling Merchandiser will be assigned a home region based upon their location. Traveling Merchandisers will be given assignments based upon the needs of the company at the time. If overnight travel all travel costs will be provided via company credit card according to expense guidelines.

Reports To: Director of Merchandising

Job Duties

In the absence of an assigned Merchandiser in stores it will be the expectation of the TM to physically cover the staffing needs of assigned stores at the direction of the Division Manager.

Traveling Merchandiser may have responsibility for assisting with the training and quality of a group of Merchandisers in their assigned stores at the direction of the Division Manager on merchandising standards, company policy and company systems such as REPSLY and CHRONOTEK

This position is primarily a field position with the expectation of overnight travel up to 100% of the time.

Requirements:

Must live in metro area of current National Garden Service Division

Must have mobile phone

Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance on vehicle

Must be able to pass background check including a credit report

Within 30 days of hire must be able to demonstrate proficiency in all job duties including REPSLY and CHRONOTEK

Other Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Merchandiser or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of planograms
- Facility with mobile technology
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate product placement and display
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
