Director of Managed Care
Job Posting for Director of Managed Care at National Health Care
National Health Care Associates (NHCA), provider of high-quality long-term care and short-term rehabilitation services with 35 skilled nursing facilities and 5000 employees in the Northeast U.S., is seeking a Director of Managed Care for our corporate HQ in Valley Stream, NY.
Here are just some of the essential duties and responsibilities for this onsite position:
Oversight of Managed Care relationships:
- Oversee managed care contracts in support of NHCA’s managed care initiatives and targets; stepping in to assist in contract negotiating process with payors as necessary.
- Financial modeling and tracking of new and existing regional payor contracts.
VBC (Value Based Care) leader:
- Collaborate with Marketing department to drive business development strategies for growth in new and existing markets for NHCA and ancillary companies' VBC programs.
Oversight of Care Management department:
- Oversight of Care Management department tracking oucomes, ensuring systems are working, developing KPI's.
- Ensure reimbursement (levels, exclusions, etc.), billing and collections processes are optimized.
EDUCATION and MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Masters’ degree preferred (MHA, MBA)
- 7 years of experience in contracting, case/care management, and profit and loss analysis
- Deep understanding of managed care models, population health management and healthcare reimbursement systems.
