Seeking Early Childhood, Bilingual/Spanish Data Collectors The National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER) at Rutgers University seeks Bilingual/Spanish Data Collectors to conduct classroom observations in preschool classrooms in New Jersey.

- Applicants with a BA/BS, or current upperclassman undergraduate students focusing on child development, early childhood, psychology, or a related field.
- In addition, knowledge about child development and developmentally appropriate early childhood teaching practices is preferred (e.g., Teacher, Child Assessor, etc.).
- Experience in classroom settings and/or working with children ages 0- 5 is highly preferred.
Applicants must be available to work a minimum of 3 days per week between September 2023 to June 2024 during regular school hours (7:30 AM - 1:00 PM) and be consistent throughout the data collection period

Job Description:
- Schedules are flexible, though applicants must be available to attend training (paid) (attendance to each day, for its entirety, is required to be considered).
- The training dates are to be determined.
- Data Collectors will be compensated $165 per completed observation (3.5 to 4-hour observation), plus travel reimbursement.
- Team selection will depend on experience and research study protocols.
- All Data Collectors must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license and must follow all project and state health regulations regarding COVID-19, including being fully vaccinated as per university requirements.
