POSITION SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision of the Payroll Manager, performs all activities necessary to process payroll, timely and accurately. Also, ensures proper payroll records are maintained and legally compliant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly payroll runs & positive pay files for each payroll run. Issue manual checks and corresponding voids to ensure accurate year-to-date balances.

Run and distribute payroll and accounting reports for the finance department and other personnel.

Respond to and resolve payroll inquiries from employees and shareholders. Make corresponding changes to the payroll system, as necessary.

Audit 401k report file and make payments

Prepare and reconcile PTO balances

Review year-end W2’s. Answer inquiries received by employees about year-end earnings information and W2 forms.

Provide training to managers and new employees on how to use the Paycom system (time clock, PTO requests, view paycheck stubs etc.)

Ensure managers have access to reports they need to manage their employees

Update’s payroll records by reviewing changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, job titles, department/ division transfers new hires and terminations. NOTE – if approval is necessary, then Payroll Manager should handle this function

Complete Employment Verification Requests

Balance the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.

Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.

Collaborate with Human Resources and accounting team.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyone’s responsibility. It is the responsibility of every computer user to: Know and follow Information Systems security policies and procedures. Attend Information Systems security training, when offered. Report information systems security problems.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Licensing/Certification:

High School Diploma or GED. Associate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or appropriate field of study or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
-
Data entry or word processing experience required.

Experience with tax and benefit withholdings
-
3 years’ experience with automated accounting/payroll system required. Prefer experience with Paycom
Knowledge and Skills:

Good mathematical skills a must

Good verbal and written communication skills

Skill in gathering and reporting information

Ability to work effectively with staff, physicians and external customers. Must display teamwork attitude and good inter-personal skills

Must have good time management and the ability to meet deadlines and other requirements set by the management team.

Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting software.

Strong knowledge of payroll practices directed by wage and hour laws.

High level of knowledge in all areas and processes of payroll function.
-
Detail oriented with ability to analyze and audit.
-
Knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts preferred.
Salary : $47,700 - $60,500
