Job Description 

We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM), who exerts high ownership and creativity to achieve sales goals. The BDM will own the New to Business Advisor sales program (Venture program), as well as support in researching & prospecting new business opportunities for the Experienced Advisor segment.

Key Accountabilities 

Venture

  • Host sales calls and group webinars to onboard Venture prospects, walking them through the Travel Edge Value Proposition and technology demo.
  • Oversee the end-to-end process of the deal including sales presentations, client engagement and acceptance of terms and conditions.
  • Design and own the touchpoint strategy for our leads, including automated sequences and manual & personalized follow-ups. Test different approaches and optimize accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and up-to-date client information on all prospects, target accounts, and new clients through the CRM tool.
  • Keep team updated on progress, pipelines and KPI’s.
  • Collaborate with marketing on acquisition strategy to increase lead size and quality.

Experienced Advisors

  • Identify and target potential clients in North America through various activities, including outbound outreach, emails, social media and other creative channels.
  • Conduct consistent outbound outreach to prospective contacts to achieve weekly activity targets to support the overall sales strategies for Travel Edge.
  • Qualify leads and generate new business opportunities by conducting detailed research, listening to customer needs, and positioning Travel Edge’s value proposition to effectively meet the needs of prospective clients.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competition, as well as customer needs to be able to provide key insights to the sales team and contribute to the overall sales strategies for Travel Edge.
  • Participate in regular one-on-ones to keep team informed of opportunities and warm leads.

Qualifications 

  • High sense of ownership and urgency to drive successful program results
  • Results-driven, with a self-motivated determination to beat target KPIs
  • A track record of generating leads, closing sales and exceeding sales targets
  • Familiarity and success with setting up automated sequences and designing/managing complex funnels.
  • Has a roll-up your sleeves approach with the flexibility to move quickly and navigate a large and complex marketplace.
  • Highly creative, with a relentless approach to problem solving
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a sales representative position
  • Detail oriented and very organized.
  • Hunter mindset with strong prospecting skills and the ability to identify qualified leads.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills with proven ability to influence external prospects.
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools, experience with Microsoft Dynamics an asset
