Field Safety Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Field Safety Coordinator to monitor and continually promote our robust culture of safe work behaviors. The Coordinator will collaboratively engage with company leadership, jobsite personnel, and subcontractors to observe field activities, participate in job hazard analysis and jobsite safety planning, recognize safe practices, recognize potential non-compliance and the identification of corrective and preventive actions, and train personnel individually or in small groups on safety procedures as needed. The Coordinator will collect, assimilate, and share field data to continually improve safe work performance throughout the company. We are seeing a solutions-based individual for this role who is willing to take initiative to research and communicate solutions.

Experience in construction and/or industrial safety preferred.

Depending on experience and skill set this could be either a Part-time or Full-time position.

Technical Skills

· Ability to use IPAD or laptop to do reports.

• Ability to use MS Suite
• Ability to use Procore
• Ability to conduct forklift training and field competency verification (N&B will provide training for this if necessary)

Field inspection goals: (rough goal of hitting each job site once a month)

• Conduct spontaneous site safety inspections
• Attend Project Worksafe walkthroughs
• Provide a report that frames the current status of the project holistically, then zero’s in on any safety specific concerns
• Provide bullet points of items that were discussed with the super or other employees
• Provide detailed photo’s of work being completed on site and any safety concerns/issues
• Provide a bulleted list of upcoming tasks and items that may have upcoming safety concerns, and how they can be delt with
• Provide planned or impromptu field training in small groups
• Provide bulleted lists of items that are going well and the team is doing a good job of
• Recognition of near miss situations and corrective actions needed
• Written documentation for sub-contractor warnings (if needed)
• Inspecting and correcting safety findings (if need be), tagging fire extinguishers, ladders, first aid kits etc.
• High level trend analysis of safety observations across jobsites

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
