The Challenge Our internships consist of a mix of research and shadowing/participating on client engagements. We make every effort to align shadowing opportunities with areas of intern interest. Our research projects are collaborative with other interns around the country, and whenever possible result in a published whitepaper after working with vendors to fix discovered security issues and after granted permission to disclose. Essential Skills Highly analytical: Possessing strong observational skills, being able to assess different situations and to identify possible threats. Outstanding computer and IT skills: Being familiarized with computer security systems; Having an understanding of network safety protocols; and Being able to run, configure, monitor, and maintain security programs. Excellent decision-making and stress management skills: Assessing chaotic and dangerous situations; Sticking to security measures and contingency plans; and Staying calm during stressful situations. Objectives Running security tests and analyzing and reporting the obtained results. Coordinating and briefing with security team, assigning tasks accordingly. Examining client’s assets to determine level of security needed Real world experience with full-time Security Consultants and clients Dedicated research time and training with Security Consultants Shadowing experience with Managers and Security Consultants What will you get in return? Internship compensation: A competitive compensation package of 26 USD per hour throughout your four to six month program About your application Our intern hiring process is a challenge-based system. Here are the steps to becoming a Security Intern with NCC Group Please select which office you’d like to apply to as this position is hybrid. If selected, you will receive a web-based challenge to identify your technical abilities. In this challenge you will likely spend approximately 2-6 hours (on your own timeline) finding whatever vulnerabilities you can and provide a basic report. You submit the report to us. Should you do well on the challenge, we schedule two follow-up phone interviews with NCC Group intern managers from your selected office. Upon successful completion of your phone interview, we present you with an internship offer! You then sign the internship offer letter and we welcome you to our NCC family!
