What You’ll Do: News Corp seeks a highly motivated, well-rounded, and hands-on HRBP to join our Human Resources team. This role is responsible for a wide range of people-related activities as well as interaction and consultation with our employees and managers. This position will support and execute on all facets of HR including employee relations, total rewards, learning and development, talent acquisition, performance management, etc. In this role, you must be able to build trusted relationships with managers and employees and effectively coach and influence the business in various areas. You will use data to identify trends, determine the root cause of issues, and help influence and guide managers and leadership with recommendations on how to improve performance, retention, and employee experience. Responsibilities: Serve as a partner and advisor to management on key organizational and management issues. Act as an employee champion and consult with employees directly on topics ranging from day-to-day questions and concerns to career development. Collaborate with NCS and business unit HRBPs on best practices and build community and culture Conduct new hire check-ins and exit interviews; synthesize related feedback and provide improvement recommendations to HR and managers. Consult with managers in support of their individual and team-related needs, including general inquiries, HR process support, facilitation of people-related efforts (e.g., performance management, coaching, separations, reorganizations, etc.). Support the execution of company-wide annual HR programs and processes, including year-end process preparation, manager support, calibration facilitation (e.g., staff planning, talent reviews, performance management processes, year-end compensation, employee surveying, etc.). Assist with employee relations and handle sensitive issues, escalating to department Senior HRBP as and when appropriate. Integrate learnings and observations from across the organization to identify improvement areas and propose solutions for addressing them in HR policies, programs, and processes. Partner closely with the broader HR team including members of Total Rewards (Compensation and Benefits), Talent Management, HR Operations, Finance and Legal, across the globe, leveraging the Talent COEs as appropriate. Partner with Talent Management to execute people strategies with a strong focus on retaining top talent, and diversity and inclusion. Liaise with functional leaders in Technology, Property, Legal and others both locally and across the organization. Model and champion, our collaborative and team-oriented culture. Be a key contact for the internal union and union members. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required 5 - 7 years of Human Resources experience with a strong understanding of all disciplines within HR: Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Employee Experience, Learning & Development & HR Operations Experience working for a global company as well as a growth organization demonstrating adaptability and change management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence managers and a proven track record of proactively analyzing situations, data, identifying employee needs, troubleshooting, and recommending appropriate solutions through to completion Ability to work in, and navigate matrixed environments Possess high-quality employee relations documentation and report preparation Demonstrated experience building valued and trusted relationships with your clients Role model for the highest standards of professionalism and ethics Acts with integrity, professionalism, and is able to handle confidential information and issues with discretion and sound judgment Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Expert level experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations Location: New York City Working Arrangement: Hybrid - a minimum of three days in office per week Job Category: Pay Range: $60,000 - $150,000 We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.
