Production Supervisor - Food Industry

Near Consulting is a dynamic and growing HR firm, committed to delivering high-quality services to our clients. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Production Supervisor to join a great Produce company and contribute to the success of their operations in the Bronx, NY.

*Position Summary:*

As a Production Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of our client production facility. You will be responsible for ensuring that production processes run smoothly, meeting quality standards, and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in the food industry, and a passion for driving operational excellence.

*Responsibilities:*

1. *Supervise and lead production teams:*

- Direct and coordinate the activities of production staff to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.

- Provide guidance and leadership to ensure a positive and efficient working environment.

2. *Quality Control:*

- Implement and enforce quality control standards to meet or exceed customer expectations.

- Conduct regular inspections and address any issues related to product quality.

3. *Operational Efficiency:*

- Streamline production processes to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.

- Collaborate with other departments to improve overall workflow and productivity.

4. *Training and Development:*

- Train new employees on production procedures and safety protocols.

- Provide ongoing training to enhance the skills of existing production staff.

5. *Safety Compliance:*

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

- Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.

6. *Inventory Management:*

- Monitor and control raw material and finished goods inventory levels.

- Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely availability of materials.

7. *Communication:*

- Maintain clear and effective communication channels with all team members.

- Collaborate with management to report on production metrics and key performance indicators.

*Qualifications:*

- Proven experience as a Production Supervisor in the food industry.

- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.

- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Knowledge of inventory management and production planning.

- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

*Education and Experience:*

- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within the food production industry.
