The Role
We are currently seeking a Proposal Specialist will leader in managing all proposal related duties by taking ownership of the process and ensuring the compliance and integrity of all proposal requirements for the solutions business.
You will work with both internal and external customers in providing quality and accurate proposals ensuring that that customer success is the primary goal. Strive to uphold NEC’s Total Customer Commitment.

What You’ll Do from the PL-Parts job
- Learn NECI’s proposal process and workflows
- Provide proposal/quotes based on a defined set of requirements
- Takes ownership of tasks and produces quality documents based on requirements
- Strive to complete all requests in a timely manner
- Work with cross functional team in meeting customer demand for quote to order
- Supports sales and other relevant commercial activities as needed
- Ensures customer (internal and external) questions/problems are brought to a swift and satisfactory resolution
- Evaluates new requests and prioritizes response in collaboration with the operations team.
- Maintains a schedule of events while keeping on target with deadlines/due dates and reports progress to Proposal Team Manager
- Ensures full utilization of tools available to continually raise bar for accuracy of proposals and efficiency in their generation.
- Identify areas for content creation and process improvement, and provide uncompromising quality to all work processes in designated area of responsibility
- Develop competency on the current Emerson systems, products, and services.

- Minimum 2 years of corporate experience working cross functionally in a fast-paced corporate environment
- Highly organized with critical attention to details, along with good time and priority task management
- Strong organization skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively while managing changing priorities
- Affable professional engagement style along with the ability to interact with all organizational levels and the ability to adapt to different communication styles
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills in two parts: 1.) very strong writing skills utilizing the rules of English grammar; 2.) verbally clear, concise, and grammatically correct oral (speaking) communication skills in English
- Travel: 10%

- Conferred Bachelor’s Degree
- Salesforce CRM / CPQ
- Inside Sales / quoting experience
- Demonstrated success in responding to RFPs
- Two years of successful sales, and/or inside sales experience in the automation / controls industry
- Knowledge of controls and instruments
