What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Reporting Analyst I position at Needham Bank?
Responsible for reporting, analytics and associated data management. Responsible for the development, production and timely delivery of reports and analytics in support of operations, compliance, sales and risk management activities across all business units.
- Development, implementation and timely delivery of routine and ad hoc reports and analytics for use by Directors, Executives, Managers and Bank staff to manage operations, monitor risk and develop business
- Identification of data and analytical needs through close collaboration with executives, managers and business units to identify requirements and transfer of those needs into high quality reports
- Knowledge and understanding of institutional strategic goals and alignment of data management solutions with business objectives
- Coordination of quality assurance testing and validation of deliverables across business units to ensure that requirements are met
- Assistance and support to users and presenters in report interpretation and utilization
- Appropriate prioritization of monthly workflow to meet time sensitive deadlines or critical need information requests
- Adherence to Reporting and Analytics procedures and internal control practices
- Implementation of efficiency measures and/or use of alternative reporting methods as deemed appropriate
- Perform additional duties as requested, needed or assigned
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, computer science, math, economics, or related field and/or equivalent banking experience or education
- 0-3 Years of report writing and/or data management experience
- Working knowledge and aptitude for relational databases, data warehousing, reporting systems, analytics software and data management practices
- Ability to interpret and transfer raw data to comprehensive analyses and summary presentations, a plus
- Ability to engage in active dialogue with business units and data providers
- Demonstrated accountability and involvement at the appropriate level
- Strong attention to detail, high degree of accuracy, aptitude for efficiency and solid sense of timeliness; it is expected that complete and accurate reports will be produced in accordance with required schedules
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and analytical skills with ability to gather, synthesize, and organize data to solve simple to complex problems
- General business and financial knowledge
- Proficiency in banking and reporting applications
- Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and technical skills
- Self-motivated, well-rounded, analytical self-starter with ability to work in a dynamic, respectful, collaborative team environment
- Knowledge of and adherence to Bank policies and standards
- Demonstrate and promote high ethical standards and professional business acumen at all times
- Understanding of job related regulations and compliance matters
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Tableau, SQL, Python, Snowflake, SAP Business Objects
