Staff Accountant

The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.

Open Position: Staff Accountant

Location: Napa, CA (Fully Onsite)

Compensation: Up to $80K, plus excellent benefits

Reports to: General Manager

Position Overview:

• Primary Responsibilities:
• Full-cycle accounts payable
• Accounts receivable management, including aging reports and collections as needed
• Credit card reconciliations
• Monthly bank statement reconciliations
• Check runs and data entry
• Inventory reconciliations, including intercompany transfers
• 1099 reporting
• Manually entering timecards on a weekly basis for the vineyard management company (Note: payroll processing is not required)

Key Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel, with advanced functions like pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
• Experience in the wine industry is a strong plus
• Skills:
• Detail-oriented and diligent
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment
• Strong communication skills and adaptability in a dynamic work setting
• Team Structure:
• The office is small, This is the only dedicated accounting position.
• Growth Potential:
• There is significant potential for growth within the company as it continues to expand production, having grown from 40 to 100 acres.
