NEOGOV is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented proposal coordinator who can work independently to join our proposal team. The candidate will lead the preparation of proposals, including content development, and accurate, complete, and effective proposal responses. The candidate will also be responsible for clearly and persuasively articulating solutions, and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, partners, and subject matter experts.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills, along with a strong understanding of software technology and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. You will be working as a member of the proposal team, which is part of the greater sales team here at NEOGOV.
- Analyze and review RFPs from various US public sector entities, including government agencies and educational institutions, to understand specific requirements, compliance guidelines, and evaluation criteria.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, product management, engineering, legal, and finance teams, to gather necessary information and insights for proposal development while ensuring compliance with government regulations and policies.
- Develop a deep understanding of our software solutions and their applicability to the US public sector, including relevant certifications, security measures, and compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST).
- Create well-structured and compliant written responses to public sector RFPs, addressing all mandatory requirements, technical specifications, and evaluation criteria.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to provide technical input and articulate complex concepts in a manner that aligns with government requirements and language.
- Review and edit proposal content to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to government guidelines and formatting requirements.
- Coordinate and manage the proposal process, including scheduling meetings, tracking timelines, obtaining necessary approvals, and ensuring timely submission in accordance with government deadlines.
- Maintain a repository of standard content and responses that comply with US public sector requirements, including past performance information, security documentation, and pricing details.
- Assist in the preparation of supporting documentation, such as certifications, security questionnaires, and compliance attestations, to accompany proposals as required by specific public sector entities.
- Occasionally travel for work-related meetings, conferences, and team-building events.
- An excellent written and verbal communicator with customer relation and organization skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for delivering high-quality results and driving continuous improvement.
What You Have
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail in reviewing RFPs, identifying compliance requirements and addressing evaluation criteria.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and experience working with proposal management tools or CRM systems (e.g. Loopio).
- Strong knowledge of software technology, including SaaS, cloud computing, and enterprise solutions.
- Salesforce Experience (Nice to have)
- Prior experience building proposal responses for public agencies (Nice to have)
