Forklift/Utility Operator - 3-11 pm

We are recruiting for a Forklift/Utility Operator for our 3:00-11:00 pm shift. Scheduled days are Monday-Friday. Must have flexibility to work other shifts and overtime as needed.

The starting rate for this position is $18.26/hr plus $.60/hr shift premium. After training is completed and work performance is satisfactory during the introductory period, the pay rate increases to $20.55/hr plus shift premium.

Utility Operators are responsible for packaging and shipping, receiving raw material and supplies, staging of tube boxes, relief for tube mill inspectors for meal/break periods, chopping of tubing and other duties as assigned.

• Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving of raw materials and finished goods
• Transporting materials to different locations within the facility
• Packaging finished tubes in appropriate shipping container per customer requirements
• Correctly changes the boxes on the productions line and packs box using cardboard and plastic lining
• Reads and fills out bills of lading
• Responsible for scrap material and filling out scrap tickets correctly
• Operates the chopper following all safety requirements
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned

Qualifications

Successful candidates should possess the following characteristics:

• high school diploma or equivalent (must have documentation)
• shipping/receiving experience
• forklift and overhead crane operating experience
• strong attention to detail when completing paperwork
• ability to read a tape measure in metric and standard measurements
• good interpersonal skills
• excellent work ethic and attendance

Candidates offered a position will be subject to a pre-employment background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Evening Shift 3-11 pm
• Monday to Friday

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Documentation Required)

Experience:

• Forklift experience in manufacturing environment - 1 year required; 2-3 years preferred

Shift availability:

• Evening shift but will train on day shift; must be willing to work on other shifts as needed
