What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Systems Implementation Project Manager position at NEPC, LLC?

The right individual will manage large systems implementations projects designed to change the way the key parts of the organization, including research and consulting, operate. Key to this multi-year initiative will be the planning and execution of multiple complex, interdependent projects, replacing systems, rewriting integrations, and improving processes.

Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Estimate the internal and external resources needed to achieve project goals.
- Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the assignment of required personnel from within the company.
- Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify risks, and devise contingency plans.
- Contribute to best practices and tools for project execution and management.
Formal Education & Certification:
- College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems.
- PMP or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 10 years of related project management experience.
Knowledge & Experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the investment and/or consulting industry, business processes, and operations. An understanding of and prior experience in the investment consulting industry preferred.
- Successful track record implementing such large, tightly integrated systems as research management and customer relationship management (RMS and CRM), document management, data visualization, and workflow management.
- Exceptional project management skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources.
- Experience with Planview PPM Pro, Jira, and Confluence a plus.
- Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts (Kanban and Agile a plus) especially as it relates to systems integrations.
