Are you detail-oriented, organized, and ready to make a significant impact on our manufacturing operations? Our Client in Warren, MI is seeking a diligent Materials Scheduler to join our team.

In this crucial role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely scheduling of materials required for production, playing a key part in maintaining our manufacturing processes' smooth operation.

Key Responsibilities :

Scheduling Materials :

• Develop and maintain schedules for material delivery, ensuring production requirements are met.
• Coordinate with suppliers to guarantee timely material delivery.

Ordering Headings :

• Manage the ordering process, including creating purchase orders and tracking their status.
• Ensure accurate entry and processing of order headings in the system.
• Collaborate with purchasing to optimize ordering practices.

AS400 System Management :

• Utilize the AS400 system for material order input and tracking.
• Generate reports and analyze data to support decision-making.
• Maintain data integrity and accuracy within the AS400 system.

Coordination and Communication :

• Liaise with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to align material availability with production schedules.
• Effectively communicate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve material-related issues.
• Provide regular updates on material status to relevant stakeholders.

Inventory Management :

• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Implement and maintain best practices for inventory control.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in supply chain management or logistics is a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience as a materials handler or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven proficiency in using the AS400 system for inventory management.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Physical ability to lift and move materials as required.

Working Conditions :

• This role involves working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and typical conditions.
• It may require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
