Job Title: Legal - Paralegal (Mid-Level)
Work Location: Coralville, IA
Contract Duration: 06 months
Payrate: $35- $39/hr. on w2 without benefits.
Job Description:
Responsible for providing general support to attorneys and legal team. Assists team by researching necessary areas to analyze legal issues. Proficiently works with Corporate Lawyers in areas such as litigation, real estate, bankruptcy, loan documentation, contract drafting, leasing, foreclosure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Under the direction of an attorney, resolves routine legal issues.
• Researches and analyzes law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, and constitutions.
• Researches and analyzes legal codes to prepare legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, etc.
• May lead and direct the work of others.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Complexity of Work: Moderately routine; general policies.
The Paralegal (Mid-Level) would help conduct reviews of routine materials, coordinate legal reviews of complex materials, and ensure that necessary changes are made in a timely manner. Will assist with research tasks related to the interpretation and application of laws and regulations.
Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
Work closely with the Counsels to provide general administrative support specified function by coordinating with outside counsel and serving as initial legal department contact for any correspondence.
Draft correspondence and amendments to documents; work closely with Counsels and business units to respond to any requests, preparing documentation and managing files.
Manage tracking of all official legal matters in process or closed, monitoring calendar of cases to meet upcoming deadlines.
Maintain all legal files and retrieve archived files/information as requested.
Manage all types of daily correspondence to ensure timely response, appropriate prioritization, and attention by Counsel Organize and arrange schedules for team, coordinate calendars, trip planning, travel, appointments, and meetings.
Interact with personnel locally with Legal team, internal business staff, and outside consulting and law firms.
Accurately follow complex processes for handling legal matters in a compliant manner
Required Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 4 years demonstrated administrative experience in a corporate or professional business environment, supporting the activities of a department/team or manager.
2. Strong time management skills. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
3. Strong oral and written English communication skills, including grammar and composition.
4. Excellent PC skills with advanced level skills in all Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Mail) and previous demonstrated experience navigating the Internet effectively.
5. Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects with more than one team member simultaneously, adjusting to changing priorities and follow through on all assignments.
6. Must be able to maintain security of highly confidential information discretion and confidentiality required
7. Must be able to work self-directed with an ability to multi-task
8. Must be willing and able to flex work hours periodically based on business needs.
9. Integrity: Must accept and adhere to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
Salary : $35 - $39
