Job Description
We have an opportunity for an Enterprise Architect (EA) to join our talented team in support of a federal client in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Program Manager in the development and execution of the federal client’s enterprise architecture program spanning digital transformation, application development, operations and maintenance, and broadcast engineering.
Typical Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure integration of solution architecture information and processes with operations, change management, configuration management, and service management processes.
- Ensures best practices delivery of the overall and strategic design, development, testing and implementation of agency information solutions by supporting data architecture and integration efforts related to defining, developing, and delivering capabilities.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and process to ensure successful delivery of highest quality products and cutting-edge solutions that are scalable
- Identify and propose specific strategies, initiatives, and remedies necessary to align technology infrastructure with organizational objectives
- Leads data architecture efforts for technology roadmap development, tracking, and alignment to organizational strategic objectives and risks.
- Leverages industry standards to support solution decisions in relation to reliability, scalability, security, and integration for the solution based on client direction.
- Prepares architectural models and establishes baselines and benchmarks to support IT development, maintenance, and sustainment efforts.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to program team members while encouraging innovated solutions to complex system problems.
- Provides oversight and support for Authority to Operate (ATO) certification and maintenance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Responsible for analyzing, identifying, and recommending advanced technologies relevant to the applications and services within the solution architecture that result in cost savings and return on investment.
- Reviews and analyzes current technology infrastructure and its ability to support strategic objectives, draws conclusions, and communicates findings across technical and non-technical team members.
- Responsible for setting up framework of standards and procedures
- Responsible for defining the project’s technical direction and delivery
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Management Science, or related disciplines
- 5 years of experience in IT systems, with 1 years leading architecture efforts with hands on experience working with cloud technologies
- 5 years of experience as technical lead
- Experience in assessing, designing, and securing DevSecOps services and solutions on the cloud.
- Experience in end-to-end architecture of application ecosystems, including integration, preproduction and production environments.
- Experience working in major transformation efforts involving significant technology modernization initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate and collaborate with clients and across multi-disciplined teams
- Experience working in the Federal Government with classified environments
- Experience implementing cloud data platform technologies with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services
- Experience working with AWS services, such as EC2, S3, Lambda
- Proficiency with DevOps models, practices, and tools such as Kubernetes, Containerization, Pipelines, Microservices, and Cloud Infrastructure
- Experience in security hardening application solutions within a cloud environment.
- Hands-on experience with following technologies:
- AWS Lambda
- Kubernetes
- Docker or other containerization software
- Linux
- Automation technologies
- Python and/or Node.JS
- Git
- Visio or other diagramming software
- Excellent documentation skills
- Eligible for Agency Clearance

- Experience working with C level executives or SES Government
