What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Operations position at New Columbia Solar?
NCS is looking for detail-oriented Sales Operations personnel to join our growing team. Sales Operations will work closely with the Business Development Managers on a day to day basis and will be responsible for ensuring their productivity. This role will report to the Director of Sales and will work alongside the Sales Development Manager. This includes but is not limited to RFP response and organization, pipeline and deal tracking, lead generation coordination, interfacing with customers, working with non-BD NCS teams, and pipeline reporting / forecasting. This is a versatile role that is focused on enabling efficiency gains for the broader Business Development team and requires a high level of discipline and organizational skills.
Job Duties
- Work with Director of Sales to define quarterly objectives, standardize reporting, execute on pipeline, and create dashboards for management tracking of pipeline
- Run weekly calls and meetings with each sales lead and lead generation team enabling sales team productivity and precise tracking of contract and project pipeline
- Identify bottlenecks in the sales process, allocate team members to new leads, and report on individual team performance to Director of Sales
- Increase sales productivity by simplifying processes, recording data in CRM software, and monitoring other sales automation tools
- Manage metrics, communicate results, and use analytics to help sales leaders make data-backed business decisions and improve sales execution
- Prepare for broader sales and development success by facilitating resource sharing and communication between ancillary teams including legal, finance, engineering, and project management
- Explore professional development opportunities, and manage onboarding new Business Development team members
- Work with Lead Gen to optimize lead qualifications and scoring, assist lead generation team with new lead management and tracking system for various lead generation resources
- Foster positive, collaborative culture within sales and lead generation team through quarterly offsites, weekly calls, and other non-work functions
- Drive the collection of data, information, and assembly of documentation necessary for RFP submissions - delegate individual RFP responsibility to an AE on secured contracts.
- Lead transitions of deals from Lead Gen to the BDMs and support Project Acceptance into the Project Management Team post contract signing
- Ensure all Due Diligence for new project has been completed, analyze key project information such as utility data, facility load profiles, and system operating data
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Strong computer skills (Data Entry, Hubspot, Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Must be proactive and take the initiative, with team-first mentality
- Ability to problem solve and work independently
