Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled, enthusiastic, and motivated Mill Worker to join our team. As a Mill Worker, you will be responsible for various duties related to livestock feed production and processing. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate heavy equipment.
Job Duties:
· Accurately fill, weigh, tag and stack feeds, and mix minerals
· Operate forklift
· Accurately record production data
· Gather materials for production
· Place inventory in designated storage areas and transfer in the computer inventory system when necessary
· Keep warehouse and work area fully stocked, well organized, neat and clean
· Inspect quality of product during and after production
· Scan inventory into and out of locations using handheld scanners
· Assist in any department as needed
Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills and Performance:
- Very good interpersonal skills and team player
- Experience with inventory scanning (beneficial)
- High level of initiative
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of and interest in organics and ag or farming a plus
Physical demands and work environment:
· This position is in a feed mill environment
· This position must regularly lift 50-pound bags of feed
· Workdays are Monday through Friday
· Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per day
