What are the responsibilities and job description for the IAQ Foreman position at New England Air Systems?
New England Air Systems is looking for a hands on individual who will perform all tasks and supervise a small team to clean HVAC systems and kitchen hoods.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities
- Perform and supervise mechanical duct cleaning air-handling unit cleaning and kitchen hoods.
- Accurately and timely turn in post cleaning reports and changes on blueprints.
- Accurately and timely turn in necessary paperwork for job close out upon completion of job.
- Must have approval prior to working overtime.
- Work with IAQ Project Manager on any additional sales while working at location.
- Review and submit timecards before 8 am on Monday morning.
- Conduct regular maintenance on duct cleaning equipment, tools and vehicles.
- Take before, during and after photos of job being performed.
- Track inventory in vehicle on a daily basis.
- Stock, replace and order materials in vehicle as needed.
- Maintain SDS binder on vehicle.
- Work with IAQ Project Manager to maintain all NEAS safety policies are followed.
- Make IAQ Project Manager aware of any schedule and shift changes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Know and comply with all policies and responsibilities as outlined in the NEAS Employee Policy Manual.
- Know, comply and oversee all NEAS policies requiring use of personal protective equipment, proper and safe use of equipment and safeguarding of company tools, equipment and vehicles.
- Report immediately to your supervisor any violation of company safety or operational policy or any accident involving company equipment or personnel.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Assists with training new employees in the department.
- Plans the daily workflow on the current job working on with helping the team to prioritize tasks.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Maintains company vehicle's cleanliness and maintenance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Must exhibit initiative, good communication skills, and the ability to work under time constraints while meeting or exceeding job budgets.
- Must possess positive attitude and image to function effectively in a team-oriented customer service environment.
- This position requires the use of a respirator, a clean-shaven appearance is a necessity.
- Due to the nature of the business, flexibility and the ability to work off-shift hours is required.
- Must be willing to constantly improve knowledge and skills through classes and training.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift.
- Position requires bending, twisting, stooping, climbing
- Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Capable of navigating uneven surfaces and climbing ladders.
- May be exposed to temperature changes and confined spaces.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends throughout the year.
- A clean, valid Vermont operator license
- Minimum of 4 years on-the-job construction supervision experience.
- Must possess required tools of the trade.
